A buddy is a very successful businessman. Very smart, very honourable. He owns (along with one other friend) and runs the largest firm in the world in their area.
My son and I run a reasonably successful small company. We are real estate developers. We work alone. No employees. We do everything. I do interior design work, my son lays out the suites. We do our financing. If we need investors I write the LP and JV agreements. I travel around the world finding good products to use. My son is on the job sites every day, and deals with every single problem as they arise. It is RE development. They arise every day. IT IS KILLING US!
Dumb…I know.
Of course we have consultants we work with in every area, but we take the lead almost always. Very seldom will we sit back and let someone else make a decision for us.
My friend asked why we do this, as he knows how hard it must be. I said we can’t find competent people, people whom we would let make a decision for us.
He said ‘you need to stop looking for replacements for yourselves. You will never find that. You need to find 70% people’.
A 70% person by his definition is someone very very good in one area, and not terrible in a few more areas. It doesn’t matter if they are complete dingbats in 30% of the business. He explained ‘Never ever let them touch anything outside their area. These people will build your business provided you understand their limitations.’
Here is my point. We in the conservative movement, and the freedom movement, are looking for perfection. We want everyone to be exactly where we are at on every issue. If they aren’t…..they might be…..the dreaded…..controlled opposition.
How about they are just 70% people.
Steve Kirsch for example, is really off in a few areas. His refusal to look at Terrain for example is foolish. He would very likely be super annoying to be around. Malone is almost for certain a pompous stuffed shirt. I am not convinced if they gave him a Nobel for his work on mRNA he wouldn’t be touting it to this day. Maybe not. But, he seems as if he could be influenced. A number of the Freedom movement I think might be crazy. Mike Yeadon is noble, the real deal, but I suspect he is not enough of a fighter to be able to stand up to the mob. He wouldn’t capitulate….too much honour…but he might fold up and not be able to stand up.
Keep in mind I don’t know any of these people personally. My assessments might be way out. But, I do know one thing each of these people are contributing and have contributed hugely to the Resistance. They aren’t perfect. But, we should not attack anyone helping us right now because they aren’t perfect. Each person is adding to the wave that is about to sweep the world. We diminish ourselves when we attack them. The Enemy loooooves it when we do this.
Note the left. It never does this. Privately MPs in Canada detest Justin. None in the left will speak out. They support each other. They do so for a different reason. They do so to hold onto power. I am not saying to do this. But, when someone is helping DON’T SHOOT THEM DOWN.
This is a mistake conservatives have done for decades. Someone fails? We HATE them! Stop it. Seriously, stop it. It is enough they did some good, and will continue to do so if we support them. The collective good, Steve Kirsch’s, Robert Malone, Naomi Wolfe, and so on adds to something really great. We are diminished if we lose any part of each of their intelligence.
